Celebrating the Feast of Our Lady of Carmen in Barcelona, July 21, 2005 |

| Members of the Barcelona Council joined the celebration of the Feast of the Virgen del Carmen, hosted by the fReal Asamblea Española de Capitanes de Yate, the Real Liga Naval Española, and the Spanish Navy. The event took place at the Grand Marina Hotel at the World Trade Center where the 200 guests dined and danced the night away. This was the first annual celebration of the feastday of the Virgen del Carmen, patroness of Spainsh sailors, and was organized to include the participation of entities involved in maritime activity in Spain -- the Navy, Merchant Marines, fishing industry, and sport. |
